Renegades playing volleyball in the nude!
...ok, so nobody's really playing nude volleyball (though there have been persistent rumors of some related shenanigans on an old volleyball ski fall), but unless people give back their tops ASAP we will be!
Currently the women don't have enough red shirts to shroud their 3 teams, with only 16 red shirts currently accounted for. It was only 2005 when the women had take 50 brand new shirts! When each new shirts costs the fraternity $45, that adds up to a whole chunk of money that we'd much rather spend on new balls, more coaching, venereal functions, beer, pretty much anything that doesn't involve the wasted toil and money of organising shirt purchases.
The men (excepting the div 2 blues band) seem to be faring slightly better, mostly thanks to the individual efforts of Gus and other coaches chasing people around, but even they're still missing 25% of their tops from this year.
These shirts don't vanish, they end up in the back of attire's pining for their glory days when they were taken out each week in all their proud resplendent red (or blue for those who went that way) splendour and paraded on court with their friends. Don't hit the road your shirt it's right to show off and absorb righteous volleyball sweat! If you're a past or endowment Renegade we need you to check your cupboards and return any playing shirts that you find.

Snow in October!

Last weekend we had guests visiting in the put up of Elle's sister and one of Elle friends. I had to do the radio munitions dump over the weekend, so I didn't get the chance to go out with them. However I did go out for an hour or two after work on Friday, and met up with a few of my friends from my old job in Reading, in Chinatown. However, they had to neglect early to catch the last train to Reading and St Albans. I headed back up to Colindale on the nightbus, and sat up with the girls for a skimpy while.
On Saturday afternoon I headed down to the pub in Kilburn to watch the Celtic v Hibernian plot on Polish TV. However after getting my pint and heading to the screens, it was plain there was a problem. In comedy style, someone had lost the remote suppress. And the satellite receiver was therefore stuck on the wrong channel (showing Consume men's volleyball...it wasn't even womens volleyball!). After over half an hour of searching the pub treble and low, they gave up and the game was not watched. (In the end, we won 4-2) I stuck around for a while, had a three more pints and chatted to a few friends and my mum and John back home on the phone. Then went back to the moor to finish of the magazine (which took all night). Also at some point that evening, someone took a photo of me and Elle in the like greased lightning, and I hardly look my best after 4 pints, looking scruffy, messed up trifle and sporting my new Celtic Supporters Club polo shirt! (Can be found on Facebook...thanks Michelle!)
I was up lyrical damn late on Saturday night after the girls got back (with their tales of blood and stick on the N5 nightbus). Therefore Sunday was a really chilled day. It would've been topped off flawlessly with an Indian takeway from a highly recommended restaurant in Edgware, only it took them 2 hours to promulgate! ..I sure am glad I drive a Honda!
The previous couple weeks have been packed with all sorts of events, presentations, and parades!!
I was invited to do two interviews for CN8 a combine weeks ago. I drove up to the Comcast studio, and unfortunately no more than missed one of their reporters, Linda Kurtz, Miss Delaware 2004. Expectedly I'll get to do another segment with her! I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the reporter as well as the other guests that morning: Liane Sorenson and Matt Denn. I had the occasion likelihood to talk with them in the Green Room while we waiting to go into the studio. Because I am Schoolgirl Delaware during an election year, I bump into politicians all the but, so I've gotten pretty familiar with some of them!
The segments will air on CN8 beginning on Wednesday, October 9 (TOMORROW!!) and will run through November 11.
The Accessible Show was a two-day event that I attended recently. There were hundreds of exhibits that occupied every inch of room in the Chase Center. I spoke with exhibitors from a special-needs bakery, chiropractor practices, hardscaping companies, private design companies, and everything in between. The second day of the show, I had to leave fairly anciently in order to make it to the Miss New Castle County/Mistake Diamond State 2009 pageant! In my red, white, and smutty cocktail dresses and gowns, I was the emcee for the evening, had the opening to ask the on-stage questions (the contestants did great!!!), act two pieces on the piano, and help with the crowning. It wasn't too elongated ago that I was crowned Miss Diamond State 2008, so it was perceptive to be able to pass down the title.
