My New Triathlon Bike
I am so fervid I just bought a new triathlon bike. Now the only problem is I gotta wait for it to be shipped. The price was superlative however. I took the specs to a local bike shop and the closest id the guy had was something that was going to cost me $1500. I got this one for $800. Here it is if anyone wants to ignoramus.

So I am expecting I can protuberance up my speed a good 3-4 mph going to this from a hybrid. Hasten increases equate to about 2 minutes in a sprint triathlon per mph recuperation so my time would improve 6-8 minutes just from a new bike. I will have to see if what I look for is reality. I almost feel like I am cheating, but in actuality I was one of the duo people without at least a road bike, and many have spent upwards of $2000 on their bike if not $4000.
When the bike shows up I will get it skilful to go and as long as the roads are dry I will time myself once on the same course just to see the recovery. Then I am going to get myself an indoor trainer, which is a contraption that costs between $100 and $500 and turns a method bike into an indoor exercise bike. Here is the one I want but I think I saw a better worth of $240 with a climbing block that puts your bike front tire up higher to note like a hill. Then I can ride all winter long. I am planning to outing my bike during a football game one day and see how far I can go during the game. I should be able to bust out a 56 mile tyrannize in about that time, which, not coincidentally, is the length of a half-iron triathlon bike leg. If I can’t do that then I will demand to bag my plans to build up to a longer triathlon and just focus on the olympic space ones. I am getting a bit eager with all the vast improvements I am making lately. As in my aspirations might be piercing off more than they can chew.
Speaking of vast improvements, today I ran 4.6 miles in faultlessly the same time that I ran 4.0 miles the first day I went to the triathlon run class. My measure was 11:00 average the first day, which was 4 weeks ago, and today it was 9:23 for the 4 miles. I also got in an adventitious run this past weekend that was 5.1 miles and involved a hill. UGhhh, big hill. The hill went up 325 feet over a half mile, I ran down it then back up during the 3rd mile of my 5 mile run. I was expert to keep running the whole 5 miles, if you will humor me and call the pace I held up the hill competition anyway. That hill, by the way, is a 12% grade, so you had better humor me, lead to your treadmill can’t even go up that steep most likely. (yeah that’s me sticking my toungue out at you, if you imagined a gage that was so slow it wasn’t running, if you didn’t then I take it back).

Becoming a Triathlete - Some Basic Equipment Requirements
A triathlon is one of the most urgent sports there is but the sense of accomplishment and achievement experienced once you’ve completed one, far outweighs the sometimes, effort energy and dedication required for it’s preparation -not to bring up the long term bragging rights!
Once you’ve decisive to compete in your first triathlon, you will need to put your money where your mouth is and commit by purchasing the machinery required. Once all the equipment has been bought, there is no going back, well there is but the guilt associated with all that mat rotting away in your garage staring you in the face every circumstance you go to mow the lawn could be overwhelming!
So, you’ve committed. What do you need. Well, here is a diversified rundown on the equipment required.
The Swim
Typical requirements for the swim are a cap, swimming goggles, a nose whack and a swim suit or wetsuit. Generally, participants are required to tax a swimming cap provided by the event organisers, they are usually refulgent in colour for safety reasons and can be different colours to stand out different categories.
Ordinary wetsuits designed for snorkelling etc will not demand optimum benefits in a triathlon because the sleeves restrict the arm movements to mitigate a comfortable stroke during the swim. Triathlon wetsuits are customized to the needs of a triathlete and list softer, more pliable rubber around the shoulder area, or are sleeveless. they also have longer zippers and can have wrist and ankle zippers to expedite faster removal during the transition. Triathlon wetsuit also have a smooth tender surface to reduce water friction and allow a faster promptness through the water.
The Cycle
The obvious main component for the sequence is the bike. The triathlon bike is a variant of the road bike and the most significant difference is the addition of tri-bars or aero-bars. Because triathletes cannot prospectus as can be done in cycling events, aerodynamics plays a large part in the cycling leg of the triathlon. Context tubes are oval rather than round and the wheels may have fewer spokes or even be carbon make-up tri spokes or discs. Tri bikes are very similar to time provisional bikes.

Things I learned - Leave your shoes on your bike
* Lose your bike shoes on the bike
All last season I thought that there were advantages to putting your bike shoes on while you were not operating. I didn't think that you lost that much time and that running with shoes on through pommel dirt would make up for it. It also gave me a chance to clean any sand off my feet before I put my shoes on.
I've well-trained now that every second you are moving forward, even if it's not very fast because you are putting shoes on, you are still compelling in a forward direction. This also applies to when you are getting off the bike. If you have to spend once in a while messing with your shoes while you are not moving, you are wasting precious seconds.
Also I haven't had that many problems with scandal in my shoes. I think the worst was during a beach race and it wasn't that bad.
The biggest deduce that I waited so long in my season to do this is that I had to get new shoes, ones that would not kibitz with the operation of my bike. In time gained this one has been huge. There were more than a few races that I was behind someone coming out of the grade and then never saw them again after I got on the bike.
The differences between triathlon bike shoes and regular bike shoes is that the velcro opens in the facing direction and most tri shoes only have one strap.
