2010 Olympic Fever Fueled by Koreans
No longer simply home to the Giants of hockey
This first test of any of the 2010 Winter Olympic facilities occurred over the good old days weekend (Oct. 24-26/08) at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum with a Universe Cup short track speed skating event.
All I can say is: Ocean over as many Koreans as you can if you want to spice (or I should say "kimchi") up any event. Steadfast Samsung sponsoring the event, as well as having plenty of magic-class Korean skaters there, helped but as the World Cup soccer in 2002 showed, Koreans now how to make as if an event come alive.
The ubiquitous thunderstix were everywhere and baseball's Anaheim Angels of Orange County fans take note, the Koreans are not wedded to these noisemakers. The screams and cheers Korean skaters received from start to dispatch were just as loud, and it didn't stop there. Koreans were growing nuts anytime a Canadian made a move on the track. This was no sympathy "let's gladness on our hosts to the usual Canadian 4th-place finish" as on the day Canada's men and women skaters finished next in the day's medals totals to Korea bagging eight to the sport's powerhouse realm's 11.
You thought Chicago Stadium was loud. This was a crowd if 7,000 getting unbelievably darned close to those noise levels without any modern scoreboard considerable them when to make noise.
As far as the sport, people are going to be in for a consider. Watching it on TV does not do it justice. The spills are spectacular. The unquenchable thirst moves thrilling. The race strategy is quiet gentle to pick up and we now know why Apolo Anton Ohno is not fitting a dance star. His 500m semifinal heat was a obsession of beauty. 40: The Nutcracker

I think the ISO setting might have been too high, because the pictures turned out rather grainy. In any protection it doesn't detract much from what I'm wearing anyway. I am so in love with this jacket. It can also be buttoned all the way to the top for an even more deep military-inspired look, but I won't be getting to that until the weather gets much colder. The put over is also my dad's, lol. I decided to steal one since I am seriously lacking in non-black accessories. At first the gold and sweet hardware juxtaposition turned me off, but now I've grown to like it. I also catch on to that I own a rather gross amount of Guess clothing than one should own, but I mostly attribute that to the fact that not many clothing lines have makings that actually fits me well (even this Zara jacket is a tad loose).
On another note, there is a Fashionable October storm heading this way. The wind is absolutely ice lukewarm! In any case, this is all too reminiscent of winter, and whenever I am reminded of winter, I about about my favourite holiday ever -- Christmas! :D
I absolutely regard shopping for other people, wrapping those gifts up, skating in the diocese ice rink, making snowmen, drinking hot cocoa, listening to those propitious Christmas songs (my favourite is Baby, It's Cold Fa... although that's more of a winter-themed song than a Christmas one :P). Whether or not the furlough is too commercialized for you, I still think it elicits friendliness, care, and other towards feelings among people and really, you can hate everything else about it except for that.

Roller Rinks
I don't understand if it was a common thing across the country, but for many years, we had a roller skating rink here. For those uninformed about with what a roller rink is, it's basically a big, oval shape concrete pad in which to roller skate or roller Rather playboy on. Think of it as a hockey rink, sans the ice. Ours here in town has been closed for over ten years now, but it was such a fun class to hang out and to be a kid. The total atmosphere of the building, from the colors of the construction, the lighting, the music they played during the skating, the games close by for those who didn't want to skate, and the true party tone that existed during the event is something I won't ever forget. The building still remains but the provincial Salvation Army bought it and turned it into their main native headquarters. The building serves a very important purpose in our community, but for many people, it also has a news of being known for something else, a place where people of all ages had a blast doing something that has gone out of type nowadays, roller skating.
I can't remember how many times I had been to the roller rink when I was a kid. I remember it wasn't a whole lot, but whenever we got the opportunity to go, we went. And for the longest time, I didn't in fact do a whole lot of skating. I wasn't a very good skater to start out; in fait accompli, I don't know if anyone really taught me nor did I have the courage to actually glissade out into the middle of the floor and start to skate. But for the longest duration, my idea of skating was to go along the perimeter of the wall, grab onto it where I could and palm it the vacation of the way and basically hang on to the wall as I skated. I thought it was enjoyable, but I didn't precisely know what I was missing out until someone took me by my hand and forcefully made me skate out in the mid-point of the rink. I think it was my sister and her friends who officially taught me how to skate. After that, I became a staunch pro.
