This is Titanic news for Elk Grove, we have needed a family destination here for a great time. Lets hope that this goes as planned. The Viewpoint sounds great, and the bowling alley should open next month

Bishopric goes with one-stop shopping for family

The burgh that didn't have a bowling alley will not only get one - but also will have a fitness center, water park, last sports complex, synthetic ice skating rink and dialect mayhap even a gymnastics academy.

At 200,000 settled feet, almost half the size of Arco, the cavernous former JVC compendious disc manufacturing plant on Laguna Boulevard will puff up a Strikes Family Entertainment Center, with bowling, an arcade, corporate bull session center, Coach's restaurant and bar and even synthetic ice skating. Strikes is set to yawning the week of Thanksgiving.
But it also will include:
• A California Kinfolk Fitness center with 55,000 feet of workout space, basketball courts and such, along with three out of doors pools and a water park area. When it opens next bounce, it will be the local company's 16th complex - No. 15 is set to open Monday in Citrus Heights.
• Fancy Xtreme, a locally owned extreme sports complex with a $1 million waggle-making machine for surfing and body surfing; tor-climbing walls; trampolines the size of a basketball court, with 45-rank trampolines on the outside for bouncing off the walls; and paintball skin in at least one 50-foot-by-100-foot tent. Shane Carter of Elk Grove, inhibit of a group of eight local investors, also hopes to open the complex by Thanksgiving.
